•Best for range & life: Lithium (4-6 years, 60-100 km real-world)
•Best for budget: Lead-acid (2 years, 30-50 km)
•Graphene = marketing hype - just lead-acid with <1% graphene additive
•Buy only UL 2271/GB/T 36972 certified packs from authorized dealers

Project ordinary lithium battery Graphene lithium batteries
Charging speed ordinary Faster
life generally Slightly longer
Low temperature performance It will decay Better performance
Weight light almost
Range normal There has been an improvement, but not an exaggeration.
price expensive precious

1. Lead-Acid vs Graphene vs Lithium Batteries: 2025 Data Comparison

Myth Bust: "Graphene batteries last 10 years" → False. Graphene is <0.5% additive in lead plates; lifespan gain is only ~20% (SAE paper 2023-01-7071).

2. How to Buy a Safe Lithium Battery (4-Step Checklist)
Step 1: Buy from Authorized Channels Only

• Scan UL 2271 or GB/T 36972 hologram sticker.

• Check factory name, model, voltage, production date within 6 months.

• Match outer box & battery body markings.

3.Step 2: Inspect Appearance (30-Second Test)
•No dents, cracks, or liquid residue
•Clean terminals, clear polarity (±) labels
•Weight within ±5% of spec (e.g., 48V 20Ah LFP ≈ 5.3-5.7 kg)

Step 3: Reject Refurbished / Oversized Packs

• Red flag: Price 40% below OEM (e.g., $150 for 48V 20Ah)

• Refurb packs use recycled 18650/21700 cells → fire risk (see 2024 Shenzhen recall)

Step 4: Demand Proof of Cell Grade & Warranty Ask seller for:

Ask seller for:

1. Cell teardown photo (new cells = uniform color, no weld marks)

2. LFP or NMC datasheet (Grade A cells only: CATL, EVE, LG)

3. Weight & range certificate

4. 2-year full replacement + 5-year prorate warranty + insurance policy

3. Daily Lithium Battery Safety

1. Do not use a charger with an incompatible battery voltage. Do not place the electric vehicle battery in high-temperature or hot environments. Do not charge the electric vehicle battery for extended periods. Do not take the battery to public enclosed spaces such as buses or elevators. Do not disassemble, replace, or assemble the lithium battery yourself.

2. Avoid overheating of the charging plug. Lithium-ion batteries with fast-charging capabilities are prone to overheating when the power plug or charger output plug is loose or the contact surface is oxidized. Prolonged overheating can lead to short circuits or poor contact, damaging the charger and battery and increasing safety hazards.

3. Avoid water immersion. In summer, there is often heavy rainfall. If there is standing water on the road, try to avoid driving or immersing the battery in it. If this happens, take the vehicle to an authorized service center for inspection to prevent water damage and short circuits that could cause safety hazards.

4. Timely repair and replacement. Most lithium batteries on the market can withstand 2000-3000 charge-discharge cycles and have a lifespan of about 6 years. If you find that the electric vehicle battery's range is insufficient or the wiring is damaged, please replace it promptly.

Pro Tips

• Plug heat check: Unplug if >50°C → replace charger

• Rain riding: Max 10 cm water depth; dry connectors after

• Storage: 40-60% SoC at 15-25°C for >1 month
